Kashmiri Chai (Pink Tea)




Food Fantasy brings you a simple step by step Kashmiri Chai Recipe (Pink Tea)  to enjoy in the winters.
Recipe in English:

Ingredients:
For Kehwa:
-Paani (Water) 1 cups
-Green tea leaves 1 tbsp
-Badiyan ka phool (Star anise) 2
-Cloves (Laung) 5
-Elaichi 6
-Namak (Salt) 1/4 tsp or to taste
-Baking soda ¼ tsp

For Kashmiri Tea:
-Doodh (Milk) 3 & ½ cup
-Cheeni (Sugar) to taste (optional)
-Kehwa half cup
-Badam (Almonds) crushed for garnishing
-Pistay (Pistachio) crushed for garnishing

Direction:
-In pan, add water,green tea leaves,star anise,cloves,cardamom ,salt and baking soda,bring it to boil.
-Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until it reduces to half.
-Strain and set aside, kehwa is ready and can be refrigerated for up to 4-5 days.
-For Kashmiri tea,in pot,add milk,sugar (optional)and give it a good mix.
-Add kehwa and cook for few minutes.
-Finally pour the tea in cups,add almonds(crushed) and pistachio(crushed).
-Kashmiri tea is ready.

-pot mein paani,green tea leaves,badiyan ka phool,elaichi , namak aur baking soda dal ker ubal lein.
-15-20 minute kliya halki ancch per adha reh janay tak paka lein.
-Starin ker k side per rakh dein,kehwa tayyar hai,4-5 din kliya refrigerate ker saktay han.
-Kashmiri chai kliya,pot mein doodh aur  cheeni(optional) dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Kehwa shamil karein aur thori dair kliya paka lein.
-Cups mein dal ker upper sa badam(crushed) aur pista(crushed) dal dein.
-Kashmiri chai tayyar hai.
